Who we are
This website is operated by Leah DiGianni, LCSW, P.L.L.C., doing business as Rising Unbound Psychotherapy (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers this website only. Information you share with us as a client during treatment is protected under federal and New York health privacy laws, including HIPAA, and is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you will receive when you begin services.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact or consultation request forms, we collect your first and last name, your email address, and the message you write. If you choose to send questions from one of our service pages, those questions are added to your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and service providers may automatically log basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you view. This is used to keep the site running securely.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell your information.
How we use your information
- To respond to your message or consultation request.
- To schedule your free consultation and follow up with you.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve this website.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for marketing to third parties, and we do not sell or rent it.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions only as long as needed to respond to you and for reasonable record-keeping, after which they are deleted. If you become a client, your records are kept as required by law and our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It may store a small setting in your browser to remember your cookie choice. If we add website analytics in the future, they will only run if you agree in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
How we protect your information
Our site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and form submissions are stored in a secure database that can’t be read from the public website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, which is another reason we ask that you not share health details through the website.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you submitted through this website by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them through the website. Parents or guardians who wish to inquire about services for an adolescent are welcome to contact us directly.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as the National Center for PTSD and Psychology Today. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
